Deep-draw sheet-hydroforming press

Auto sales finally got back above pre-recession levels in 2014 with August sales reaching a seven-year high. After six long years, sales levels have matched 2007’s pace. More importantly, several research groups expect 2015 continue to grow. Today’s Motor Vehicles allows marketers direct access to this healthy industry with continued growth.

The Triform Model 20-10-10BD 10,000psi deep-draw sheet-hydroforming press features a 20″ diameter maximum blank size and a 10″ draw-depth capacity.

With cycle times of less than 30 seconds and an integrated quick tool change system, the compact deep draw press allows manufacturers to form large parts within a relatively small footprint and without altering their facility’s foundation.

Precision diaphragm pressure and punch position control, combined with built-in recipe handling capability, offers increased forming proficiency. For new part development, the 20-10-10BD features Triform’s In-Sight feature, which allows the press to be paused and opened at any point in the forming cycle to allow for a visual inspection. The machine’s structure features a horizontal layout for a reduced footprint and ease of maintenance. The 20-10-10BD can be configured to utilize the majority of existing 20″ deep-draw hydroform tooling.
