Slant-bed, auto-loading CNC lathe

Auto sales finally got back above pre-recession levels in 2014 with August sales reaching a seven-year high. After six long years, sales levels have matched 2007’s pace. More importantly, several research groups expect 2015 continue to grow. Today’s Motor Vehicles allows marketers direct access to this healthy industry with continued growth.

The GT-27 SL 3-axis, gang-tooled, slant-bed lathe is a 7.5hp, 6,000rpm, 5-C collet spindle machine with 13.5″ of cross travel and a C-axis with driven tools. During IMTS 2016, the lathe will be truncating an ID and OD thread and using a rotary broach as part of the machine demonstration.

Also on display will be the compact footprint ASL-100 auto-loading CNC lathe for processing parts up to 2.3″ diameter with an automatic part load and unload station. A 6,000rpm, 15hp spindle with a 6″ hydraulic chuck is standard. The machine is equipped with a 12-station tool turret, and a driven-tool turret is available.
